Week 9 - Mobile Meltdowns and How to Fix 'Em

Our phones know how to test our patience sometimes. Whether it’s a battery that drains faster than a New York minute, apps freezing mid-scroll, or Wi-Fi mysteriously cutting out on you, we've all been there. First things first, restart your device. It’s cliché, but effective. Still acting up? Try clearing the app cache in settings, or uninstall and reinstall the troublesome app. If your phone feels slower than a Monday morning, check your storage. Sometimes low space can lead to lag. For devices heating up like they’re prepping for a bonfire, remove the case and close those background apps. I have a bad habit of leave apps open in the background myself. A misbehaving Bluetooth connection can usually be fixed a quick of it's on/off button wherever that may live on your device in question. If all else fails, factory resetting is the nuclear option, but I'd recommend backing up your data first.

Pro tip: Treat your phone like a mini computer. The more you clean it up, the happier it runs.
