Week 2 - The Core of Computing

This week, I explored the building blocks of computing. All the internals work together to create a seamless digital experience day in and day out. Operating systems act as the connection between hardware and software. It manages resources for applications and services running on your PC. Underneath the OS lives the hardware. The processor, memory, storage, and peripherals connect to the motherboard to bring the PC to life. Understanding these components is crucial to help technicians troubleshoot and optimize performance. What allows the user to communicate with their system is called the GUI (graphical user interface) or CLI (Command-line interface). The GUI is much more user-friendly, but the CLI provides much more control. This lesson has set the stage for deeper exploration as I continue my studies.
